Description

Apollon Wealth Management began with a vision founded on the principle of always doing what is best for clients. For Apollon, that means crafting purpose-built personalized wealth management solutions tailored to each client’s unique situation and managed with the highest levels of financial acumen, integrity, transparency and access to the team. Apollon opened its doors in Charleston, South Carolina in February 2018. Founding partners, Michael J. Dolberg and Robert H. Gorman began with a team of seven advisors and a few staff. Now, just six years later and through all the turbulence of 2020, Apollon has grown to a team of over 100 professionals including 70+ advisors.

Advisor Value Proposition

Business Enhancements

Apollon has key roles for partners to leverage. These include a director of financial planning, a team of four investment coordinators, a director of trading along with a four-member trading team, and a director of alternative investments. While Apollon does not have a formal G2 training program, leadership encourages collaboration of seasoned and younger advisers for sharing of best practices throughout the firm.

Business Enhancements
Planning Support

Apollon's Planning Department plays a crucial role in facilitating data entry, plan building, research, and the delivery of presentations. The Advisor and/or their team is often responsible for scheduling planning meetings, following up with clients via email, and managing general client communications. They also oversee tasks assigned to the Planning Department and handle the investment aspects of the plan, coordinating as necessary with the Investment and/or Insurance Department.

Planning Support
Operational Support

Apollon sees the tech stack as part of their value proposition. Partner/advisors can leverage their centralized planning, investments, compliance, tax planning, HR, internal finance, and more so they can professionalize their practice, accelerate growth, and spend more time with their clients.

Operational Support
Expansion of Services

Apollon offers expertise in financial planning, portfolio management, risk management, business exit, retirement, estate planning, and charitable giving. In addition, Apollon has a strong focus on tax planning and cash flow and has internal team members who can be leveraged for this expertise. While the tax and cash flow focus is a differentiator for Apollon, they are continuing to work on enhancements to strengthen advisers’ appeal to the retail market.

Expansion of Services
Organic Growth

Apollon has a high growth culture, and they achieve this through organic and inorganic growth strategies. By pursuing inorganic growth opportunities, Apollon has been able to expand its reach and capabilities while also helping advisors to grow organically. This dual approach has allowed Apollon to provide a comprehensive suite of services to clients and support advisors' growth goals. Apollon aims to continue driving organic growth through blog posts, email campaigns, social media presence, and a relationship with a PR firm. Additionally, Apollon utilizes Egnyte which is a portal for advisors to access research, articles, etc. We suggest firms partner with Apollon if they have a high desire to grow. Apollon started February 2018 with $120M under assets and has grown to $3B in 2023.

Organic Growth
Practice Management

Apollon has strong practice management capabilities for advisors to leverage including optimizing roles within an office to create efficiencies as well as creating an executable growth plan.
