Founded in April 2023 by former executives of United Capital – Mike Capelle, Gary Roth and Jason Gordo. United Capital was established in 2005 and grew to $25 billion in assets with 28,000 clients, 70 offices, and around 720 employees. United Capital sold to Goldman Sachs in 2019 for $750 million. The Modern Wealth Management Executive Team has completed over 100 RIA transactions. Modern Wealth Management has completed nine acquisitions since April 2023, with four more anticipated to close in 2024. Currently the firm has 114 employees, nine partner office locations and manages over $4B in client AUM. By year-end Modern Wealth Management is on track to employ 150 people, have 13-14 office locations and manage $6-7B in client AUM. With an ambitious goal of managing over $28B in client AUM by the end of 2028, we recognize achieving this milestone will require the addition of exceptional teams. The owner's compensation model will largely be set with owner input around cash flow needs post-close. There is typically a minimum replacement cost level that will be assessed, which is approximately 20% of revenue. Following the first anniversary of the closing date, the owner is eligible to participate in the MWM Business Development Incentive Compensation Program which is a share of new client revenue from the account opening date as follows: 40% of first-year revenue, 30% of second-year revenue, and 20% of third-year revenue.
